Here's a great catalyst for discussions with youth groups and young adults. 'What we could have done with the money: 50 ways to spend the trillion dollars we've spent in Iraq' website offers an opportunity to identify alternative uses of the money and raises awareness of just how little is really needed to effect change in the most needy communities.

Today (Nov 3) sees the launch of a new multi-faith environmental organisation - Australian Religious Response to Climate Change (ARRCC).

A new 18 minute documentary on the Project Green Church story, a grass roots environmental project from Maroubra Junction Uniting Church.

This month the focus will be on the environment and global issues around climate change with info, resources and and the Inconvenient Truth playing. Note: date change in November to the 10th Nov (usually held on the first Monday of the month).

Young people make Synod more inclusive, relevant and accessible. This was the reflection after the recent NSW/ACT Synod meeting. In fact, the higher profile and enthusiasm of young people may have resulted in significant changes to the shape and purpose of the meeting.

World Council of Churches is offering annually a one-month-long programme entitled Building an Interfaith Community, from 6-31 July 2009, at Bossey in Switzerland.
